INSA, acronym for « Institut National des Sciences Appliquées » in French, that is, « National Institute of Applied Sciences » in English, is a French public « Grande Ecole ». The « Grande Ecoles » are “preeminent specialized institutions of higher learning in France” (Encyclopaedia Britannica).
INSA Group is the leading French group of engineering institutes. Some 10% of the French engineers graduate from INSA.

INSA Group gathers eight campuses and six other academic organizations. Several Campuses (Centre Val de Loire, Rouen, and Toulouse) trains students to control safety issues.
